Pre-owned system, cosmetic grade B+ (good to very good condition, some scratches on outer casing, ports cover on the back is missing). Unit came to us with a working Windows ME install. We wiped the drive and installed Windows XP without an issue, however the performance was quite low. As a result, we wiped the drive again and from that point, the machine has been refusing to create a partition using Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP disks. Swapping the drive for another one gave the same result. We noticed some faint hints of an old liquid damage in the unit, including on one of the RAM sticks. At some point, the machine refused to POST and removing the suspicious RAM stick fixed the issue, however we were still unable to install an OS. We stopped diagnosing at that point, and as a result, this unit is as is final sale, no return, no warranty, for parts or repair.
