Colour-coding and usual characteristics:
Blue: made for regular use, 7200rpm, 2yrs warranty.
Green: quiet and slower drives, for storage/external use, 5400-5900rpm, 2ys warranty.
Black: high performance drives, 7200rpm, 5yrs warranty.
Red: for NAS/RAID environments, 5400-7200rpm, 3yrs warranty.
Purple: for surveillance systems, 5400rpm, 3yrs warranty
